REMS

REMS Level I SAN DIEGO June 22-26

Prevail Rescue is happy to announce an OPEN ENROLLMENT REMS Level I course in SAN DIEGO!

JUNE 22-26

This course meets and exceeds all NFPA 1006 technician level JPRs and is in line with FIRESCOPE & NWCG REMS guiding documents. The focus of the Level I course is moving teams into light weight gear practices, single rope technique, point of injury care, land navigation, and austere anchor management.

LOCATION: The course will be held in the EAST county of San Diego with the first few days being held at the CalFire training center found at:

The later part of the week we will visit various off-site locations

This is a 40 hour course and will include one off-set night simulation.

Students must provide their own helmet, harness, and gloves. All other equipment will be provided.

***THIS COURSE REQUIRES A MINIMUM STUDENT NUMBER TO PERFORM. IF THAT NUMBER IS NOT MET 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO START DATE THE COURSE COULD BE CANCELLED. FULL REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED. IF YOU CANCEL WITHIN 2 WEEKS, A REFUND MAY NOT BE POSSIBLE***

REMs Level I TIMBER MESA, AZ June 22-26

A few spots have opened up for a course in TIMBER MESA, AZ. Dates are June 22-26 in the Show Low area in Arizona. This is in partnership with the Timber Mesa AZ fire department. This is the Cadillac REMs Level I course that you all have come to know and love! A 40-hour course that will provide all NFPA Technician level JPRs and be in line with FIRESCOPE 162-4 & NWCG 552 Rapid Extraction Module guiding documents. This course covers the far spectrum of fringe rescue and will be a guided journey down the rabbit hole of Single Rope Technique and austere anchor craft.

Students MUST provide for their own helmet, harness, and gloves. All other equipment will be provided for. A personal bag for daily vertical adventures is highly recommended.

This course will prepare the student to be successful while working on a REMS team and cover additional topics such as Land Navigation, point of injury medical care, prolonged field care theory, patient movement strategies, and small team dynamics.
